This is an earlier 90's Billy Henson alkaline decorated pitcher, with the grapes/leaves design. The form has a real nice squatty piece with also some fine quartz (feldspar). Another distinct feature is that the glaze looks identical to Burlon Craig's glass glaze. Hence it has the underfire aspect to the lower half of the pitcher that looks like Burlon fired-pot glaze. The firing outcome provides a nice glaze contrast. On the base, Billy inscribed the base as normal, but then in marker added DLWM < or = 0Z or O2(?)XV7LVW. It is not completely known the significance of this mark. The base pads were temporarily for the additional info not pictured. The pitcher stands 9.25" by 6.75 " max width. Mint Condition. $20 s/i.
