David Meaders Pottery Decorated Vase Georgia

Here is an interesting David Meaders vase, turned in 1995. David Meaders is truly remarkable man and artist. The grayish white glaze is likely similar in formula to that of Arie/Cheever (David’s grandparents) pots. This vase has decorated with other green/cobalt glaze, with a single purple flower with branches and green leaves. David signs his initials and dates the piece ’95’ below the decoration. This was applied post glazing, but prior to the wood-firing. Also David inscribed his signature on the back side near the base, seen filled with the glaze. The decorated vase stands 11.25″ tall by 6″ max width. Excellent condition; there is a small horizontal firing line that is a couple inches long on the outside surface as pictured. $20 s/i.
