This wonderful unique form to David and the late potter, Reggie Meaders, his father, is a Gord Face.  One may ask where the 'hole' to allow for moisture is in this form, so it does not 'burst' in the kiln.  There is a tiny hole on the back side near the base for this purpose.  What is particularly neat about this folk art piece is the manner in which David applies glass to melt coming off the tip of the gord head.  Just absolutely stunning.  The face piece stands 10″ tall by 6″ max width.  Mint condition.  $20 s/i.
