Presenting a longtime favorite at the home of NCPottery, this 1991 Don Craig Snake Jug. The snake jug is a much simpler example of a dark alkaline glaze, compared to the later ones that Don has made, including the 1 G swirl one that is on the Mint Museum's collection book on North Carolina Pottery. This was definitely wood-fired in Burlon Craig's kiln and is a really neat early Don. The jug stands 5.5″ height by 4.5 max width. Mint condition. s/i 15.
