Here is a wonderful wood-fired alkaline mini face jug by potter Michael 'Mike' Ball. This is from the period that he had his shop in the Catawba Valley last decade. He has since moved his operation to Buncombe County, NC. This face jug has the classic MB style, but in miniature size. Small face jugs take nearly as long, if not longer, for a potter to create due to the detail work involved. Mike originally worked for potter Kim Ellington when he first moved to NC from Michigan. The face stands 4.5″ by 3.5″ max width. Stamped MB. Mint condition. $10 s/i.
