Michel Bayne Pottery First Firing Devil Jug

Michel Bayne Pottery First Firing Devil Jug

Potter Michel Bayne operated his pottery shop in SC for many years. A couple years back he moved his operation to Lincolnton, NC and his wife Diana and he, masterfully restored an old farmhouse. The setting for his home and shop is absolutely stunning. Michel's initial inspiration/connection to potter Peter Lenzo is also important to note, but Michel has truly taken the Catawba Valley community of potters to another level with his arrival. This swirl devil face jug was turned and fired for his first NC kiln opening in December 2011. It is a masterful piece of southern folk pottery. The devil face stands 9″ tall by 6″ max width. The detail is great. Mint condition. Signed BM and NC for Bayne Maker North Carolina. $20 s/i.
