A rare Neolia Cole Face Jug, from Cole Pottery, made in 1984. Cole Pottery is the pottery shop that Neolia's father, the late potter AR Cole, opened decades ago. Neolia rarely makes face jugs and is not a big fan of making them. She is very active, still managing the operation well into her 80's, along with her grandson Kenneth Cole George. This face jug is decorated with glaze on some of the facial features. The inside of the jug has a white glaze. The face jug stand 8″ tall. For the NC Pottery Center fundraiser several years ago, she did make 2 face jugs for that event. Those were first 2 in many years. Mint condition. $18 s/i.
