Richard Kale is one of tri-generation of Catawba Valley Potters. Harry, his father, has passed away, and his son Jamie is not very active in turning now. Richard unfortunately had to stop making pottery in 2003 due to health conditions. His pieces are definitely uncommon and don’t come on the market very often. This astounding swirl jug dates to 1992 and it is very finely turned pot. Nice traditional alkaline, along with the swirl made of bluish color clay . The face jug stands 8.5″ tall by 6.5″ max width.
