Steve Abee earlier Face Jug, circa 2000. Steve has his pottery shop in north end of the Catawba Valley in Lenoir, NC. The is a classic dark wood-fired alkaline face jug by Steve. In the mid 2000's Steve began to employ his big open face style. He has mixed up his mouth styles more in recent years. Steve creates his teeth out of clay and adds little ridges, which makes them very realistic. Also there is glass applied and that comes out on the jug as an added with some white color. But this is very subtle, although can be seen in the px. Steve signed the face jug on the base. The face stands 9″ tall by 7″ max width. Mint condition. $18 s/i.
