William Bill Flowers Pottery Early Face Jug

Here is a super early William 'Bill' Flowers. Bill is now retired, but the folks that attend the Hickory or Catawba Valley Pottery Festival, even just a few years ago, will remember Bill all dressed up in a crazy ostentatious outfit. He became known for these huge figurals with some wacky & dark themes. He longer lives in Almond and hasn't marked his pots from Almond for years. That was where his shop was in the NC mts. Now he is happily retired to Topsail Beach. And please under that Bill is a big showman. In reality he is the kindest, most intelligent, cool conversationalist, etc. but he sure knew how to have fun at Hickory. This face jug is 8″ tall w/ 7″ max width. Very distinct earlier style and looks different than later pots. Also his wife Jo would have make pots too (plus their son). Mint condition. $20 s/i.
