Rare Early Burlon Craig Pottery Face Pitcher Catawba Valley NC

Circa 1980 rare large Burlon Craig Face Pitcher.  Glassy alkaline wood-fired glazed with glazed over eyes.  Awesome condition and of particular note is the large feldspar or 'quartz' rock that is embedded into the base.  I have never seen such a large rock in a wood-fired piece that didn't pop out during the firing.  It caused no damage, nor firing crack through the base inside.  The face pitcher stands 10.5″ tall and is in excellent condition.  $25 s/i.
