Dwayne Craig, son of potter Don, and grandson of the late Burlon, is the Catawba Valley master of thinly turned pots. This is a truly unique vase both in color and in form. The double swirled color scheme is brownish with bluish undertones. I want to highlight the unconventional handle. While other jug's handles follow a straight inclination, this handle twists to the bottom. In fact, curled and twisted handles have become one of Dwayne's signature emblems on his jugs.
