This is a phenomenal Dwayne Craig 2 Handle Face Jug turned at Burlon homestead, where Dwayne currently resides & has his pottery operation. This face has none of the standard Dwayne/Don firing cracks that is so typical for their pottery. Really one of the best Dwayne faces I have ever seen. Light as a feather as Dwayne truly turns the thinnest pots of anyone in the South. He glazed the jug with a lighter color alkaline with superb glass runs that really gives more a true cobalt effect to facial features. Also the two handles, curled and twisted, have become one of Dwayne’s signatures on his jugs. The jug itself has great proportions, double sine and incised line decoration, and china teeth. The face stands 13 inches tall by 8 inches max width. Signed & dated Dwayne on the base. Mint condition. $30 s/i.
