Michel Bayne Pottery Ring Face Jug

Michel Bayne Pottery Ring Face Jug

This Michel Bayne ring face jug was turned and fired in summer 2012 by him at his new location in Lincolnton. This is amazing pot by Michel. Once again, Michel is showing deference and embracement of the CV tradition, by employing Burlon's glass glaze recipe. A ring jug is one of the most challenging forms for a potter to turn. Hence, few are made by them. And then a face added is very rare. The glaze is really the most amazing aspect. And the glass runs are beautiful, and two drips off one ear & nose are unplanned additions. Included are a couple px that show them in detail. Michel also employs china teeth, amongst other details. The ring jug stands 15.5″ tall by a max cross width of 12.5″. Marked BM NC at the front base. Mint condition. $35 s/i.
