Potter Otis Norris recently retired from making pottery. One of the highlights of his career earlier was being the last owner of the famed Bethune Pottery in Bethune, SC in 1970's. His pottery in general is not as well known to southern collector, but for many years he was one of the few potters that actively turned in South Carolina. In the 1980's, he opened a new shop, Sandhills Pottery, and continued turning pots. This is a wonderful pitcher with dogwood flower applied decoration. The pitcher stands 7.5 inches tall and has a max width of 7 inches. Mint condition. $15 s/i.
