Classic Large Shenandoah Valley Lion by Billy Ray Hussey. Made at his shop in Bennett and I have not seen another that he made there of this caliber. Billy turned out a few similar earlier ones at the Owens Pottery. And since opening his own shop, he has created other large lions, but I am not sure they were Shenandoah Valley style. This lion is a monumental figural of Billy's and may be one-of-a-kind in this size from his Bennett shop. The dimensions are 13″ length by 9″ height. $30 s/i.
