There is so much going on in it, and the myriad of colors & details are wonderful. Billy turns out all sorts of neat pottery, but his figurals really are what sets him apart, as a true master of southern folk pottery. In this figural, a man is sitting on a ball, as he seemingly and unsuccessfully is untangling his dog from being messed with by a snake. Marked Kiln 55 (i.e. circa 2008).
