NC Pottery is pleased to offer this double handle lidded jar by potter Matt Hallyburton. A couple years ago he had access to the Rhodes Clay pit and then turned some 100% Rhodes Clay pots. This piece was fired about 3 years ago. This is simply an amazing piece of utilitarian ware. There are so many great aspects to his pot, including the wonderful lug handles applied to the shoulders. Matt further enhanced the jar with glass applied to both handles, creating a cascading effect particularly around the handles. Matt Hallyburton is a potter originally from the Catawba Valley, but has been based in Durham for a number of years. The jar is 8.5” tall by 7″ max width. This piece was not marked by Matt w/ his stamp, but if the buyer is interested, we can ask him to sign the piece. Please see other sold pieces on the website for comparison. Mint condition. s/i $20.
