This is one of the most wonderful David Meaders pieces ever seen by NCPottery.com. David rarely makes roosters now, possibly upon very special request. Definitely falls into that unique category of top notch GA folk pottery. This rooster dates circa 1990, and stands a monumental 18″ tall. The dark wood-fired drippy alkaline glaze is absolutely phenomenal and in mint condition. It has aspects of Nub in it for sure, and a darker alkaline glaze than David normally has used. Signed on the back side by David. Mint condition. $40 s/i.
